The LACC Cubs suffered their 2nd loss of the season at the Norco Silver Lakes Complex, when they visited Norco College. The humid hot weather took an early toll on the Cubs as they struggled in the early minutes of the game to settle down into their usual high intense game style. Norco took advantage of this, and would go on to score 2 goals in the first 17 minutes of the game. It was soon after that, that the Cubs would respond and begin getting comfortable into the attack but would fail to score in the first half and the score would stay 2-0 in favor of Norco College.
LACC would go into the second half determined to tie the game and score as fast as possible in order to be able to have ample time to do the comeback. This aggressive manner would lead to LACC scoring when sophomore Andrew Luna sailed a cross to freshmen Bryan Ortiz who would beat Norco's Goalkeeper and notch his second goal of the season. The Cubs had 22 minutes left in the game in order to tie, but the comeback would fall short and game would end with a final score of 2-1. This was LACC's 4th away game in a row and will now travel to Moorpark on Friday September 30th, for their last match up of preseason.
